Whispers Growing Old

Had you noticed how we barely whisper any more? That as we get older we seem to whisper less now? I remember everyone whispering as a child; giggling and looking at others, generally with the covert skills of a flamingo in a desert. But when we are adult we don’t seem to have the need to whisper unless we are in a library, in Church or at a performance for example. Does this have something to do with honesty? That we are less likely to keep our feelings secretive and more likely to just say them and deal with the consequences? Or is it because we have more patience as an adult and we can wait to talk to someone, hold off the conversation until it’s appropriate? Only when given the subject title did I think “when was the last time I had to whisper? Or feel the need to?”

What do you think?

My blog is extremely varied so please follow and check out some of my posts. I also have an Etsy store and a website which you can find by clicking here.
